A Message from the Council

By Lord of Life Lutheran Church

Associate Pastor Harry Vein

Dear Lord of Life,

I am writing to share exciting news regarding the Associate Pastor position at Lord of Life.

On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the congregation council voted to hire Pastor Harry Vein to serve as our Interim Associate Pastor. Pastor Harry has been worshipping in our community for the last year and a half after a career as a pastor in the United Methodist Church. The ELCA is in full-communion partnership with the UMC and so we were able to extend the offer of this position to Pastor Harry and he has graciously accepted.

Pastor Harry’s role will be 20 hours a week primarily spent with visitation of our homebound members, working with the growing needs in the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund, and sharing the preaching and worship leadership load with Pastor David. He will jump right in with us this Sunday where we will formally welcome him during worship!

Since coming to Lord of Life, Pastor Harry, and his wife Susan, have both been actively involved in the community. Pastor Harry has been singing in the choir, serving as assisting minister, and participating in Bible Studies. You may well have seen him around already!

We are excited to fill this role as we prepare to begin the process of searching for a permanent associate. In the new year, we will have further updates for you on this process. For now, please join me in welcoming Pastor Harry to the Lord of Life staff!

With Christmas joy,
