Interfaith Gifts for Seniors at Christmas
Provide holiday cheer to a local senior adult! Donate a $50 Walmart gift card to distribute to senior citizens through the Interfaith Adopt a Senior program. Each $50 Walmart gift card helps brighten the holiday season for a senior citizen in our community. All cards are due to the basket in the church office on Sunday, November 16 so they can be presented at a Christmas party in early December. Click the link to the calendar event for more information.
Interfaith Toy Drive
Help us collect toys for Interfaith of The Woodlands to distribute to kids and families at Christmas! Please donate new, unwrapped toys by the end of the day on Wednesday, December 3. Click the event for links to gift ideas.
Hope Tree Gifts through Upbring
Provide gifts for children in foster care with Upbring’s Hope Tree Gifts program. Lord of Life has signed up to contribute gifts. All gifts are due by Sunday, December 7. Click the event for more information.
Glen Loch Elementary Holiday Buddy Boxes
A wonderful opportunity to care for families right here in our community! We’re partnering with our neighbors at Glen Loch Elementary School to provide food for students who normally receive Buddy Backpacks during the school year. Since backpacks aren’t available over the winter break, these Holiday Buddy Boxes will help fill the gap and make sure kids have what they need while school is out. Bring your donated food items to the white collection box in the Welcome Center by Sunday, December 14. Click the calendar entry for a sign-up link.
Harvestwood Breakfast
This annual breakfast in the Fellowship Hall supports residents of Harvestwood senior living apartments, our neighbors on S. Panther Creek Drive. Join us on Sunday, December 14 at 9:45 a.m. Contact Jenny McKenna for more information or Peggy Sloan if you would like to volunteer.
Boxes for Seafarers
Collect handy items and gifts for sailors traveling through the Port of Houston. You can provide your own shoebox or come by our table near the Fellowship Hall to get one. We also have scarves, first aid kits, and other supplies that you can include in your shoe box. Wrapped shoe boxes are due on the table in the Welcome Center by Sunday, December 21.
Toiletries for the Homeless
An ongoing need! If you are traveling during the holidays this year, don’t forget about our collection of mini-toiletry bottles. Lord of Life’s Homeless Outreach team makes kits for the Salvation Army to distribute in Conroe. Bring back any hotel toiletries you didn’t use—unopened, please!—and place them in the red bin in the Fellowship Hall.
