Join Us On January 4th – Your Presence Matters!

From Patrick Nazaroff, Director of Faith Formation

Hello, Lord of Life,

We have a bittersweet announcement from our Interim Director of Youth Faith Formation, Mia Vu. She has an exciting opportunity for her to continue her education which means she will be leaving Lord of Life. You can read the statement from her below. Mia’s last day with us will be Sunday, January 4th, and we will honor her during both worship services. We will also host a reception for our youth and their families to honor Mia following 11 a.m. worship.

The Youth Faith Formation Team, along with the staff, will be working to ensure our youth continue to experience the meaningful, Christ-centered programming in the months ahead. While there are still many details to figure out, our primary goal will continue to be cultivating a space for our youth to experience the love of Christ through study and community.

It has been pure joy for me to work with Mia. I have had the opportunity to see her grow from the 8th grader I met my first summer here at Lord of Life to the friend and coworker in Christ she is today. I am so grateful for her love of our youth and her commitment to our program and church. Mia and I will be leading one last trip together next week with our college students and I will treasure every minute laughing and serving with her. Please be sure to join us on January 4th to show her love and support as she transitions to a new and exciting opportunity.

A Message From Mia

Dear Lord of Life,

From the start of this journey, my goal has always been to continue my education. I am excited to be taking a step in completing that goal by pursuing a master’s degree in physician assistant studies. But it is bittersweet to announce that I will be leaving Lord of Life and no longer acting as the Interim Director of Youth Faith Formation.

I want to first and foremost thank God for this congregation and youth program. This has been a community that has raised me and shaped much of who I am today. It has been an incredible honor to fill this role. While only intended as a temporary position, it was one full of blessings and joy.

To my kids, I will greatly miss you and the community we have built. As we navigate this next chapter, please know that you always have a safe place with me regardless of distance or time. While I hope you have learned something from me; you have changed my life and taught me so much that I cannot put it into words.

Thank you, Lord of Life, for your endless support first as a member and as a part of this staff.
