Welcome, New Members!

By Lord of Life Lutheran Church

On Sunday, May 10, Lord of Life will welcome new families during worship.

What can you do to be welcoming?

Say hello. Invite them to join you. Include them in your conversation. Ask questions. LISTEN. Pray for them.

Please greet them when you have a chance!

Brian and Kerri Moore

Brian Moore is a teacher and coach for Krimmel Intermediate in Klein ISD, coaching football and track. Kerri Moore is a Finance Manager at Securitas Technology. They have been married 25 years and have two daughters. Kinsey is a senior at Texas A&M studying animal science and entomology, and Ashley is a junior at University of Texas studying psychology. Dog Sassy is the baby of the family. In their free time they watch a lot of football and baseball. They were previously members at Kinsmen Lutheran in Houston and look forward to joining the church at Lord of Life.

Pete Hillman and Mike Thompson

Pete Hillman and Mike Thompson are lifelong Lutherans, baptized, confirmed, and married in the Lutheran tradition. They recently relocated to The Woodlands to be closer to Pete’s parents (Randy and Cheryl Hillman, who are also becoming Lord of Life members) and his brother’s family. Together for 26 years, their careers have taken them from Chicago—where they met—to Philadelphia; Zurich, Switzerland; Minneapolis; and most recently Washington, D.C. Outside of work, they enjoy traveling abroad, spoiling their pup, cooking and baking, working on their yard, listening to vinyl, and spending time with friends and family near and far. They are grateful to have found their Texas church home at Lord of Life and look forward to building relationships and contributing to the life of the community.

Randy and Cheryl Hillman

Married 58 years, Randy and Cheryl Hillman are grateful for a loving family including two sons and their spouses, a grandson, and a granddaughter and her husband. Over the years, they have lived in six states. For the past 22 years, they have happily called The Woodlands home. Their faith journey began in Michigan when they were baptized, confirmed, and married at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Detroit. Their faith continued to grow at Lutheran churches in Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and California, and non-denominational churches in Washington and Texas. Serving others has always been an important part of their lives. Since retiring, they volunteer weekly at Nourishment for the Needy, which brings them great joy and purpose. They love to travel, especially cruising and spending time in Destin, Florida, as well as exploring new places with family and friends. Randy enjoys gardening, golfing, and tackling projects around the house. Cheryl finds joy in scrapbooking and creating handmade cards for others. Above all, they are thankful for God’s many blessings and look forward to becoming members at Lord of Life.
