A Message from Dan Fenn, Director of Worship and The Arts
Behind the scenes of every church service is the preparation of the altar area in the Sanctuary. A dedicated ministry team called the Altar Guild works every week to set up for the sacrament of Holy Communion. They also perform seasonal and occasional duties such as putting out flowers, filling the eternal and altar candles, placing the correct paraments for the season, and cleaning materials after services.
This group is also responsible for the caring of the communion service wear, paraments, and linens used, and they also may participate by bringing forward bread and wine after the offering music in the worship service.
This team is open to all—women and men. Families can even participate as a group. (We are currently looking for someone to serve as chairperson of this group, if you are interested!)
