At Lord of Life, we believe that we’re never done learning and growing in our faith. The questions, topics, and challenges may differ, but the need to study scripture, reflect in community, and grow in the Spirit never stops. While most of our adult groups (choir, care teams, and leadership groups) include a moment for devotion and reflection, we value gathering with others in our community for the sole purpose of reflecting on God’s work in our life through the study of scripture and other devotional materials.
Growing Our Faith
There are a wide array of studies and classes that meet on an ongoing basis or for a few weeks at a time. If you have a question or would like more information please contact our Director of Faith Formation.
Patrick Nazaroff is our Director of Faith Formation. He leads the faith formation programs for adults, teens, and children. In addition, he and Pastor David host a weekly podcast called Beyond Sunday. Learn more about Patrick.
Sunday Morning
We have a variety of groups that meet during the Sunday School hour (9:45 a.m.) so that our community can be in study together, from the youngest among us to the oldest.
Book Study – Meets upstairs in the Library; Zoom option available
No pre-reading required! This class finds a good book to share and reads through it together, allowing for discussion and reflection throughout. For information about the current book selection, please contact the Director of Faith Formation. The class is led by Pastor Chuck Kindsvatter (retired Lord of Life lead pastor) and others. The Breakfast Club – Meets in the Lord of Life Conference Room
The Breakfast Club calls men at Lord of Life to grow into a deeper faith. You know God has great plans for you, but how do you answer that call? What can the Bible teach us about purpose, courage, and wisdom? Come for the insights; stay for the banter.
Women of the Word (WOW) – Meets in the Lead Pastor’s office
This study is for women who are seeking connections and understanding in a come-as-you-are, welcoming atmosphere. WOW is a community in which you can come one week, some weeks, or every week. Led by Karoline Strauss and others.
Quarterly Bible Study – Meets upstairs in Room 25
If you’re in your 2nd quarter of life, have young kids, or are looking for an opportunity to be part of a community that will support you through anything the world might toss your way, this could be the group you’re looking for. Current topic: “Real Life, Real Grace: A 10-Week Dive into Romans”. Life is messy. Grace is everything. Join us for a 10-week Bible study aimed at parents as we explore the book of Romans—Paul’s deep, practical, and powerful message of God’s love, hope, and transformation. Each week we’ll tackle real-life topics like identity, faith, struggle, and purpose, all through the lens of God’s grace.

Chocolate With Jesus – Meets in the Lord of Life Conference Room (September–May)
