You are invited to become a part of the exciting things that are happening here at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in The Woodlands!
We encourage you to join us in worship and fellowship and to explore how you can participate in the life of our church in ways that are meaningful to you. You do not have to be member of Lord of Life (or any church) to take communion with us, join a faith formation group, or participate in music, outreach, or other ministries. If you do choose to become a member of our community, we are delighted to welcome you and support your decision.
New Member Discovery Class
Our New Member Discovery Class is offered three times a year. The class gives us an opportunity to get to know you and you an opportunity to get to know Lord of Life’s mission and vision as well as worship, ministries, and opportunities to get involved. Ask us anything—that is the purpose of this gathering. The New Member Discovery Class is offered on a Saturday or as a two-part Wednesday evening class to accommodate schedules. You can check the event calendar or contact Peggy Sloan to learn when the next class is scheduled to take place.
After completing the New Member Discovery Class, you can choose to join right away or wait a while—whatever is the right timing for you. Our Director of Connecting Ministries Peggy Sloan selects a sponsor for each new member from among the congregation. The sponsor is available to answer questions, facilitate introductions, and generally offer support as needed. New members and their sponsors are usually introduced to the church a few weeks after the Discovery class.
