Music & Arts

Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

— Ephesians 5: 18-20

The Music and Arts Ministry at Lord of Life provides opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to grow in their faith through the experience of vocal, handbell, and instrumental music. Whether you are a fan or a performer, you will find much to love and share in music at Lord of Life. In addition to worship, Lord of Life hosts concert series featuring the Lord of Life organ, choirs, family orchestra, and jazz big band. Like our services, concerts are come-as-you-are and open to family and friends. If you want to learn more, or if you are interested in sharing your gifts with the Lord of Life community, please contact our Director of Worship and The Arts.

The Lord of Life Choir singing in Sunday worship

Lord of Life Choir

The Lord of Life Choir, led by Dan Fenn, is open to all singers, high school age through adult. The choir sings at the 8:30 a.m. Sunday worship service from September through May and in holiday services throughout the year.

Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. in the Music Room. While there is no audition, it is helpful to have some choral experience and to be able to follow your part in a choral score. Contact Dan for more information.

Lord of Life Bells, directed by Sarah Schlacks

Bells of Life

Our adult handbell ensemble, led by accomplished bell performer Sarah Schlacks, rings at the 8:30 a.m. worship service on the first Sunday of every month from September through May. This fast-moving group practices every Monday evening in Lord of Life Music Room. Advanced handbell experience is strongly recommended. Please let Dan know if you are interested in participating or if you have any questions.
