Congregational Meeting

A congregational business meeting will take place at 12:15 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. A light lunch will be served.

It is an exciting time to be part of our church family and your presence at this meeting truly matters. Every voice in our congregation is valued, and every member plays a vital role in the life of our church. Please join us for this opportunity to come together, celebrate what God is doing in our midst, and chart an exciting course forward.

We have two important topics to discuss and vote upon as a congregation:

1. Updates to the Lord of Life Constitution

At the 2025 Churchwide Assembly, the ELCA adopted several changes to the Model Constitution for congregations. These changes have been reviewed by Council’s Long Range Planning Committee and are being presented for congregational approval. All recommended actions are included in this mailing for your review prior to our May meeting.

2. 2026-2027 Operating Budget

Our Finance and Budget committee chairs will present on Lord of Life’s current financial position as we close out our 2025-2026 fiscal year and look forward to 2026-2027. The time and energy invested by dozens of individuals across Lord of Life staff and numerous committees has truly been inspiring to witness as we work toward a budget that reflects both financial stewardship as well as commitment to living our church’s mission through so many incredible ministries. As is the case for all annual operating budgets, we will vote on this as a congregation. There will be an additional Round Table discussion on May 17th to learn about the proposed budget, ask questions, and offer input to the Budget Committee’s process.
