Contemporary Worship – Fourth Sunday of Lent

“Who sinned?” We love a blame game and the religious leaders of Jesus’ day were no different. But what if we stopped looking for someone to blame? What if we stopped looking for the person who sinned that resulted in an illness or physical difference; or in bad policy or corrupt law enforcement? What if we stopped looking to blame and instead asked, “How can God be known in this?” What if our desire to blame led us not to point a finger, but to encounter God in our world?

Our theme for Lent this year is QUESTIONS – A Lenten Journey of Inquiry. This Lent, we are stepping into the heart of the conversation. On Sunday mornings, we will explore the deep, rattling questions we bring to Jesus—the ones about suffering, purpose, and the mysteries of life. On Wednesday nights, the tables will turn as we sit in the “hot seat” to ponder the soul-searching questions God asks us. Whether you are seeking answers or learning to live with the questions, there is a seat at the table for you.

Join us in the Sanctuary for informal, contemporary worship. This service will be live streamed on our website and on Facebook Live. The sermon, children’s sermon, and communion are part of every Sunday worship. Bibles are available beneath the pews for any who wish to use them in addition to the sanctuary video screens. We also have hearing assistance devices available which can be accessed by asking an usher. Come as you are — there’s no dress code!
