Safe Sanctuary Training at Lord of Life

Ensuring a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for everyone in our congregation is a shared commitment. We invite you to join us for our upcoming Safe Sanctuary Training sessions this May. Whether you are a longtime volunteer or looking to get involved for the first time, this training provides essential tools to protect our children, youth, and at-risk adults.

Session Times & Registration

Sunday, May 3 @ 12:30 p.m. This session includes lunch, so feel free to join us right after the morning service. Register here for May 3

Wednesday, May 13 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 p.m. Register here for May 13

Location: Both sessions will be held in the Fellowship Hall.

Who Should Attend?

To maintain our standard of care, Safe Sanctuary training is required every two years for anyone age 16 and older who works with children or at-risk groups. This includes Church Council members, VBS and Day Camp volunteers, Sunday School teachers, Nursery staff, and additional ministry volunteers. While required for these specific roles, we highly recommend this training for all Lord of Life volunteers to ensure our community remains a true sanctuary for all.

Important Details

Please RSVP using the registration links above if you plan to attend so we can prepare materials and food. Childcare is provided as needed; please indicate if you require this service when you sign up. For those age 18 and older, a background check will be conducted once the training is complete. If you are currently due for your biennial training, keep an eye out for a reminder email coming your way soon.
