Traditional Worship – Palm Sunday

Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday. This week we begin our Holy Week journey with Palm Sunday. Our worship begins outside as we are reminded of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, riding on a donkey and hailed by shouts of “Hosanna!” This story sets the stage for the conflict that will arise through the week as Jesus shares a meal with his disciples and then is arrested and crucified. Join us as we set off of this holy path again and raise our palm branches to Jesus, the one God has sent to save the world. The congregation will process with palm leaves from the circle driveway to the Sanctuary.
Our theme for Lent this year has been QUESTIONS – A Lenten Journey of Inquiry. This Lent, we are stepping into the heart of the conversation. On Sunday mornings, we explore the deep, rattling questions we bring to Jesus—the ones about suffering, purpose, and the mysteries of life. On Wednesday nights, the tables turn as we sit in the “hot seat” to ponder the soul-searching questions God asks us. Whether you are seeking answers or learning to live with the questions, there is a seat at the table for you.
Join us in the Sanctuary for traditional, liturgical worship. This service will be live streamed on our website and on Facebook Live. The sermon, children’s sermon, and communion are part of every Sunday worship. Hymnals and Bibles are available beneath the pews for any who wish to use them in addition to the sanctuary video screens. We also have hearing assistance devices available which can be accessed by asking an usher. Come as you are—there’s no dress code!
