Recently the Texas Diocese of the Episcopal Church has authorized money to be paid as reparations for the church’s historical role in slavery in the United States. This week on Beyond Sunday we’re asking how the modern church should respond to historical sins and what impact that should have on our individual and corporate faith. We know that this is a difficult topic for many and feel as though we are intentionally creating division. The hope of the Beyond Sunday team is that we can use this conversation as a launching point to talk about important issues of our time regardless of what we might believe.
